A Case of Huge Dermoid Cyst on the Submental Region

Abstract
|
|
|
Dermoid cyst on the Submental region is infrequent.
Dermoid cyst is a form of cystic teratoma, derived from epithelial debris or rest enclaved during the midline closure of the bilateral mandibular and hyoid branchial arches.
Recently, the author have experienced a case of huge dermoid cyst on the submental regions. Surgically the cyst was completely removed under general anesthesia and histopathologically the final diagnosis was confirmed as dermoid cyst. So, I report this case with review of literature.
